In the sustainable palm oil sector, the monitoring of ongoing and current deforestation and land clearing has become the norm. However, due to the its reactive nature, timely intervention by buyers to halt deforestation on the ground is often not possible or too late. Deforestation can proceed greatly within a short timeframe and once detected, it can quickly escalate into a major reputation risk. Businesses need up-to-date intelligence on the ground to be able to take prompt action on potential sustainability risks in their supply chains.
With this in mind, we have developed a one-of-a-kind approach to proactively and pre-emptively detect potential deforestation, peat clearing and other non-compliance events using a combination of cutting-edge remote sensing, in-house analytics and open-source documents. Users can be confident in utilizing our dataset on upcoming non-compliance events and pre-empt reputational risks to their businesses.
