Supplier Group Monitoring Programs (SGMP)

What is it?

The SGMP utilizes a robust, data-driven approach to define, assess, and report NDP non-compliance which is further supplemented by grievance engagement update, supply chain links, and group ownership information. Since 2014, the SGMP has significantly contributed to the companies’ efforts in addressing the NDP risks in their oil palm supply base. Our remote sensing approach detects the occurrence of deforestation, peat clearance and fire outbreak in near real-time and pinpoint them to a particular supplier group with known links to the downstream supply chain.

Why choose us?

Beyond informing buyers about the deforestation risks in near real time, our approach is capable of linking them specific supplier group with known links to the downstream supply chain, enabling them to act on the intelligence promptly and conduct supplier engagement. These are especially relevant as industry players across different commodity sectors seek to comply with future due diligence regulations from key markets (e.g. EU).
